The upper-left three-box icon controls shell scale: compact multi-tab, single tab with fixed shell panels, and full shell with edge-reveal controls.

Single

Focuses one tab while keeping fixed shell panels around it visible.

Top bars: visible

Left tools: visible but slim

Shell Surface

One active tab expands, while top, left, and right shell controls stay readable.

Active Tab

Right panel: available as fixed rail
